Frequently asked questions
Can I visit without booking a digger session?
Definitely! Our café is open to everyone, whether you're playing with RCs or spectating. Our food offerings are ever-growing and we hope you will join us for lunch or catch up with a friend over coffee.
Do you accept walk-ins or is booking required to dig?
While we strongly encourage our guests to book in advance to ensure your preferred date and time. We do accept walk-ins and can book you for an experience based on our next availability. There may be a wait time for walk-ins.
How old does my child have to be to operate an RC Digger of their own or participate in Open Sandbox?
We do not have a strict age requirement or limitation for either experience. However, RC use is generally recommended for children 5 years and older, as it requires coordination and control of the equipment.
Our Open Sandbox sessions are typically best suited for children 5 years and younger, as the environment is designed for imaginative, hands-on sensory play.
Are kids ever allowed to play in the sand?
Yes! While our main attraction is operating the RC machines, we also offer Open Sandbox sessions where kids can enjoy hands-on, sensory-rich play directly in the sand. It’s a great screen-free experience for all ages.
Is it real sand in your sandboxes?
No, although we started out using real sand, it was very hard on the RCs which caused them to break more frequently. We have since switched to a proprietary “Digger Crumb” alternative which is a much better fit for the lifespan of the RCs, while acting just like sand would, and is VOC free.
Do you offer any discounts or have a loyalty program?
Indeed we do, but it may have changed since your last visit.
We offer a punch card for our Open Sandbox and RC experiences whereby if you come 9 times, your 10th experience is free. Chat with a team member for more details and to get started in store.
We also have an incentive for a multi-seat purchase for our RC experiences. For every seat you book at one time, the greater the % discount you will earn, which will be applied to each seat you book for a given timeslot.
Do you sell gift cards?
